Three workshops were held to promote an understanding of the genuine issues effecting human development and foster their wider coverage. This publication is a succinct account of the proceedings of these workshops, which had not been given much attention by the media. So far these workshops were designed to enable media persons to interact with field activists-both non-official and official-in human development services to ensure wider and more constructive coverage. These workshops focused on socio-economic scenario prevailing in the heartland of the country and intended to setout a perspective.
