Tourism and hospitality industry today is the world's largest export industry in terms of earnings, occupying an important place in the economy of the several countries. It is also one of the most labour intensive service industries, where the employment investment ratio is higher than any other industry. There is a lot of potential for growth of this industry in India and abroad due to worldwide industrial development, increased earnings of individuals, economic growth of tourists producing nations, improved transports and communication means etc. The primary objective of brining this book is to analyse the performance of hotel industry in India. Four major aspects i.e., working capital management, fixed assets management, capital structure and porfitability have been analysed. It is hoped that intellectuals, students and researchers will find this book very useful. About the Author Dr. Madan Lal is a Sr. Lecturer in Maharaja Agrasen College, Jagadhri (Haryana). He is M. Com. M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He has about 16 years teaching experience of UG and PG classes. His three research papers have already published in reputed journal, books and other four are in the process of publication. His two books have already been published and are in market. His area of interest is tourism, accounting and finance. He is presently guiding one Ph.D. and four M.Phil students. He has completed his research work is hospitality industry under the able guidance of Prof. D.S. Bhardwaj.
