About Lakshmi Holmström Lakshmi Holmström, writer and translator, has translated several short stories, novels and poetry by Tamil contemporary writers. She translated Karukku by Bama and received the Crossword Book Award for her work in 2000. She has also translated In a Forest, a Deer for which she received the Iyal Award of the Tamil Literary Garden, Canada.
