The book begins with a statement of the Great Saint and Philosopher Swami Vivekanand: “Spirituality and Science are the Eyes and Wings of Mankind; Spirituality gives direction and Science imparts momentum.” The author is a Mechanical Engineer holding a Doctorate degree in the field. As a man of Science he not only upholds the importance of logic in everything but also talks about its limitations. The book seeks to enthuse the reader into asking fundamental questions about her/his approach to life and derive own set of values based on logic, reasoning and facts rather than opinion, myth or historical beliefs; to seek Truth for betterment of her/his life in the first place. At several locations the author has quoted from ancient Aryan scriptures, mainly The Vedas and The Bhagvad Gita and also from the works of Saint Kabir, Poetess Saint Meera, Saint Tulsidas, Albert Einstein and the current day poet Gulzar, with the objective of highlighting the fact that the ideas articulated in the text are not new but have been pronounced by men of wisdom for centuries. This is not a self-coaching book but a self- questioning book. The reader is encouraged and emboldened to ask fundamental level questions about life; seek answers through unbiased contemplation and then modify her/his approach to life based on those answers. The focus is on mundane issues of life which if addressed effectively through understanding and courage would enhance quality and meaningfullness of life.
