Fundamentals of Design and Manufacturing is not a new subject but it is a newly framed subject for AMIE (India) Section-A, both for Diploma and Non-Diploma streams, according to the revised syllabus w.e.f. June 2005 examinations. It completely covers the syllabus prescribed by the Institution of Engineers (India) for the subject. It also covers the syllabus prescribed by different universities and State Boards of Technical Education. It is also useful for B.Tech. examination of U.P. Technical University, Lucknow. The book emphasizes the basic principles necessary to understand the design, manufacturing and integration. It gives complete knowledge of the subject for examination purpose. Every care has been taken to make the subject matter clear in simple language with diagrams. The subject matter of the book is divided into four groups containing fourteen chapters, each complete in itself, within the scope of the book. Objective type questions are actually helpful to the students for examination purpose. Photographic views are given, wherever required, to visualize the structure of matter. Many solved questions in the theory and unsolved questions in the exercises are given.
