It is specially designed to be used in cutting or gnawing away at segments of bone or other hard bony tissue. This instrument is double action and has handles that features notches that allow for an area to rest the handle and prevent slipping of the instrument ensuring a secure grip on the bone. This instrument can be used to enlarge holes to increase access and visibility to the surgical field.
