An untreated tick bite during childhood left her partially paralyzed. She became a professional model in 1995, appearing in the magazine, Playboy, the first European with a disability to do so. Since then, she has hosted many campaigns and has been featured on television talk shows. She asserts that spirituality is something that is not imbibed, but is a part of the making of human beings.
