This volume introduces the gender dimension in the empirical analyses on the links between trade and poverty. It explores gender disparities and access to education, health, credit and other resources. This study of gender disparities, which has been less prominent in the available literature, can shed some light in the trade and poverty debate and, in turn, may improve policy making.
