Political geography studies the spatial differences and similarities, which are political in character. About the Author Dr. Ravindra Pratap Singh (b. 1940) is Reader and Head of the Earth Sciences Department, Manipur University, Imphal. He took his Ph.D. in Political Geography from Vikram University after doing M.A. in Geography from Allahabad University. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, London and is the Honorary Secretary of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Manipur Branch. He is closely associated with the Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Council of Geographers, National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI) and Manipur Geographical Society. Dr. Singh has published a number of papers in academic journals besides his two books- Electoral Politics in Manipur: A Spation-Temporal Study and Geography of Manipur
