This is a collection of papers and abstracts of the seminar-cum- workshop on Globalization, Finance Capital and Market: Impact on India. held in Madgaon on December 1-3, 2017. The seminar was held as part of the annual series being organized since 2008 by the All India Progressive Forum (AIPF).Several papers were presented, out of which the most important ones were selected for this volume, though some others too are valuable. The papers discuss a wide range of issues related to the relationship between globalization and finance capital, and its impact on the Indian economy and society. Among the crucial issues is the relation between productive and financial capital, which is creating up new problems. While the wealth and capital in countries such as the US and India may be high, they may not be available for productive investment, leading to a serious crisis in the economy and society, affecting, for example, such sectors as employment.These and other issues have been studied, discussed and debated in depth in the seminar papers. We hope this collection will be useful for the readers.
