The story follows the journey of a young boy named Grit, who epitomizes courage, resilience, and resourcefulness. Grit lives in the remote and challenging wilderness of Labrador, a region known for its severe weather, treacherous terrain, and isolation.Grit's father is a trapper, and the family lives a life of subsistence, relying on the land and their skills to survive. When Grit's father is injured, the young boy must step up to take on the responsibilities of providing for the family. This involves not only trapping and hunting but also facing the many dangers that the Labrador wilderness presents, including wild animals, harsh weather conditions, and the ever-present threat of starvation.As Grit ventures deeper into the wild, he encounters various characters, both friend and foe, who challenge and assist him in different ways.
