Hallucinations is a book in which the author, Oliver Sacks, puts down the stories of his patients and his own mind-altering experiences. The book is a must-have for students who are studying psychoanalysis. About Oliver Sacks Oliver Wolf Sacks is a neurologist, writer, and an amateur chemist. He is the Professor of Neurology at the New York University School of Medicine. He was a professor of neurology and psychiatry at the Columbia University between the years 2007-2012. This is where he also held the position of “Columbia Artist”. He is also a visiting professor at the University of Warwick. His book Awakenings was made into a movie that was an Academy Award-nominated film. He has also written the book Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain. The book and he were the subjects of “Musical Minds” which was an episode of the PBS series Nova.
