Handsel is a story book having twenty two excellent short stories in Sambalpuri/Kosli language by a renowned writer Rohit Dash who has already 30 published books.His story deals with contemporary social problem with human sympathy.The title story deals with the problem of a poor farmer who was so despearate even to have a handsel for a piece of watermelon.His stories have high readability.The book has been translated in to English language by a reputed translator Sri Sukomal Dash who hails from Bargarh District of Odisha.
