Hawkeye, Volume 1: My Life as a Weapon is the first volume in the Marvel NOW! Series featuring Clint Barton, the sharpshooter archer known as Hawkeye! Summary of the Book Clint Barton is the world’s greatest archer. However, that doesn’t change the fact that in a team of the World’s Mightiest Heroes, he’s one of the few without a special weapon or special powers. As Hawkeye, he is constantly in over his head in his battles as he works cases for S.H.I.E.L.D. He struggles to lead a normal life when he has some time to himself, but he is constantly thrown into situations which could have used a more powerful Avenger. But Hawkeye never gives up, setting an example for Kate Bishop, a former Young Avenger. Together, they must get their hands on a secret package which contains some rather incriminating evidence. Merely possessing it is going to make Hawkeye the most wanted man around. Collector’s Note This issue collects Hawkeye #1 to #5 and Young Avengers Presents #6. About the Authors Matt Fraction, David Aja, Javier Pulido and Alan Davis have worked with Marvel Comics over several titles. Matt Fraction, also known as Matt Fritchman, is best associated with his work on The Invincible Iron Man, The Immortal Iron Fist, Uncanny X-Men and Hawkeye. David Aja has drawn art for several Hawkeye and Daredevil issues. Pulido has worked on the Brand New Day storyline in the Amazing Spider-Man issues. Alan Davis has also worked on The Uncanny X-Men and Thor.
