About The Author: Jitha S.R. is currently Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations, Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod. Prior to joining the Department she worked as Associate Professor under various colleges of the SreeNarayana Trusts, affiliated to the University of Kerala. She took her M.A, M.Phil and Ph.D in Political Science from the Department of Political Science, University of Kerala, Kariavattom and is having more than twenty years of teaching and research experience. She is having a bright academic record and has contributed extensively in the area of bureaucracy. Her well known work is Higher Bureaucracy and Development (2007). She has presented a number of papers in national and international seminars and published articles in various national and international journals and edited volumes.
