The How To Train Your Dragons collection brings together the first three books in Cressida Cowell's children's fantasy series. Summary of the Books Hiccup, a young Viking boy in the village of Berk, has a problem. To stay in the village, he needs to capture and train his very own dragon. Everyone knows that it's an easy task, all you have to do is follow the manual: How To Train Your Dragon. However, the manual has only one page, so it's pretty useless to young Hiccup. He follows Gobber the Belch and manages to capture a young dragon he names Toothless, but he quickly realizes that training a dragon is a huge task. Toothless picks a fight with another dragon during the rite of passage and soon, the boys are exiled for failing to train their dragons correctly. This is the least of their problems however, as a storm rages, washing up two Sea Dragons ashore. One of them, called the Green Death, wants nothing better than to be able to roast some Vikings. If Hiccup and his friends can't fight off this beast, they and all of Berk will end up as dragon feed. This collection brings readers: How to Train Your Dragon, How to Be a Pirate, and How to Speak Dragonese. About Cressida Cowell Cressida Cowell is an English writer, best known for her How to Train Your Dragon series which continues in How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse, How to Train Your Viking, by Toothless the Dragon, How to Twist a Dragon's Tale and A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons. The first book was loosely adapted into a hit animated motion picture by Dreamworks Animation.
