'Human Osteology (A Clinical Orientation) is the book most needed by the medical Students as it conforms exactly to the curriculum recommended by Medical Council of India. The simple presentation along with clinical descriptions is a unique feature of this book. Very clear and accurate line diagrams further make the text more attractive. The author has taken enormous pains to draw all its diagrams himself to minimise the chances of mistakes commonly observed in the sketches drawn by professional artists. Some of its chapters like 'Teeth': 'Ossification at a glance' and 'Ossicles' are deficient in most of the conventional books of osteology. This further enhances its value. About the Author Dr. Nafis Ahmad Faruqi did his M.B.B.S. (1976) and M.S. in Anatomy (1981) from J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University. Aligarh. He has been teaching anatomy since 1979; he was promoted as Reader in June, 1993. Neuroanatomy and morphometry are his special areas of research. He has produced about a dozen papers in neuroanatomy and half a dozen in morphometric studies which have been published both in national and international Journals. He has supervised and co-supervised many postgraduate candidates in Anatomy, and other medical subjects and participated in several conferences and research courses. Owing to his exceptionally bright academic career, he was offered membership of New York Academy of Sciences in June, 1997.
