-The book entitled “Human Values and Virtues in Indian Perspectives” the author has tried to exhibit values and the virtues as essential for human life, is also the core of our life. Although materialistic knowledge in the form of science and technology has contributed enormously to human welfare but is not capable of creating lasting happiness. It only provide the happiness dependent on physical conditions. It cannot provide happiness that springs from their inner development independent of external factors. Moral values and ethical values are two pillars of society. In the era of power and negative use of scientifi c equipment those values work to check. Terminal values are desirable end-state of existence, the goals a person can achieve during his lifetime. Development of those values are important at international as well as philosophical point of view, this can serve the purpose globally. Thus , Virtue is not something that can be accumulated like knowledge, is a by-product of seeing truth in one's everyday life in what is happening inside oneself.
