I was born in the beautiful Caribbean Island of Trinidad & Tobago, in the city of San Fernando to two amazing parents, Fitz & Merceda. As my dad was working in an oil refinery company and my mom was an RN, they decided to move to NYC for better opportunities. I was three years old when they sent my grandmother a plane ticket for me to join them. Upon turning 10, my mother enrolled me in dance classes at a studio in Queens... Gloria Jackson Dance Studio. Dancing became my life! I danced throughout high school and entered talent shows, dance recitals, and even well into my adult years...praise dancing in church. And somewhere within those amazing years, I found my voice! A voice that compelled a new journey. A journey that stemmed from the devastation I felt from my parent's divorce. I was 15 years old when all of those emotions flooded my heart that compelled me to write them down. All of those emotions that flooded my heart turned into a tale that told a the story, and from that story on, was the onset to continue to express and write from my heart's experiences & life events...poems of strength, courage, truth, & love.
