"This volume is the second publication of the Indus Project, at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) in Kyoto, Japan. It consists of four papers and two appendices: 1. Seal Impressions on the Clay Tags from Lothal: A Re-analysis by Asko Parpola; 2. The Incised Stone Axe from Tamil Nadu Said to be Inscribed in the Classical Indus Script by Asko Parpola, Dorian Q. Fuller and Nicole Boivin; 3. Kanmer: A Harappan Site in Kachchh, Gujarat, India: Preliminary Report of the First Season’s Excavations by J.S. Kharakwal, Y.S. Rawat and Toshiki Osada; 4. Report on the Faunal Remains Recovered at Kanmer in the First Season (2005-6) by P.P. Joglekar; Appendix 1: Harappan Sites in Gujarat compiled by Hasmukh Seth, L.C.
