A thought-provoking and introspective book of poems by Amalia VanMatre. The fifty-three poems represent different facets of life and are grouped into four element categories - air, earth, fire, and water. Whether writing about complex aspects of interpersonal relationships, sensual experiences of the earthly existence, or challenging topics we choose to ignore, Amalia skillfully puts a magnifying glass to these topics teasing out a reaction and provoking the reader to assume a stance on a given idea. Some of her poems have won awards and were published by Poetry.com and "The International Library of Poetry." This is a great addition to any serious poetry repertoire.
