Rajashekhar was a unique Vibhuti of his era and God had given him in supernatural conditions, taking birth and education in an eminent Brahmin family of Sarja or Vatsagulm (present-day Washim) of Maharashtra, and made this Kaviraj Gurjar Pratihar dynasty his abode. Mahendrapal and his successor son Mahipal Dev were also Upadhyayas. Avantisundari, the wife of Amatyaputra Rajasekhara, was a distinguished and learned woman.
