The story revolves around little Mary Lennox and her adventures in a secret garden. Summary of the Book Being a spoilt child did not work out too well for Mary Lennox. She hardly got along with anyone and no one would want to be friends with a temperamental person. She lived with her parents till they died and was then sent to London. Here, she lived with her uncle, Archibald Craven, and would always pass her time by herself. One of her uncle’s maidservants tells her the story of Mrs. Craven and her mysterious walled garden. From then on, that is all Mary thinks about. The key to the 'secret' had been hidden by her uncle and no one ever saw it again. However, Mary stumbles upon the key one fine day and soon becomes acquainted with the well-kept secret in the garden.
