Summary Of The Book Life Is Always Aimless: .... Unless You Love It has four primary characters, all young and waiting to experience life in all its glory. Akash is an engineering graduate, and does not think much of engineering. His interests instead lie in becoming a writer. However, all his work is incessantly rejected by publishers, and he begins to wonder if he will ever make it. Sandip is an adventurous young man who does not set much store by the regular processes of life, like getting married or finding a steady job. All he wants to do is roam the world, find new places and learn about new cultures. Chirag is the quintessential playboy, with a personality guaranteed to endear him to every woman he meets. However, his panache is just a facade, something to mask the fact that he is actually very lonely. Chirag grew up without a mother, and in consequence is rather vulnerable. The fourth character in Life Is Always Aimless: .... Unless You Love It is Maria Fernandez, who believes that the world has great things in store for her, and that the people around her and in life in general, will be good to her despite the fact that she has less-than-average looks, simply because she has a good heart. Does Akash finally get his work published? Does Sandip strike out on his own? Will Chirag ever find true happiness? Is Maria’s naive outlook on life justified, or is she proven wrong? About Ratnadip Acharya Ratnadip Acharya is a trained street magician, who has learnt a number of esoteric spiritual practices that he values highly and practices regularly. Although Acharya has contributed a number of write-ups to the compilation, Chicken Soup for the Soul, this book is his first full length novel. Ratnadip Acharya is a graduate of NIT Jamshedpur, where he studied Electrical Engineering. He loves to travel, the Himalayas being one of his favourite destinations.
