Violent takeover of a school in Beslan, a city in the North Caucasus republic of North Ossetia, Russia, in September 2004. The siege began on the morning of September 1, 2004, when at least 32 armed extremists stormed the school and took more than 1,000 hostages, including pupils in both primary and secondary grades and their teachers, as well as parents and relatives who had gathered to celebrate the opening day of the new school year. The siege ended on the morning of September 3, when explosions inside the school prompted Russian special forces to enter the building. The siege ended but the attack resulted in the deaths of more than 330 people, the majority of them were children. The worst part of this attack was rape of school girls, even the primary school girls were brutally raped by the extremists. When the security personnel came out taking those young girls in their arms, that scene was heart wrenching, the girls were naked and bleeding. To sum up this tragic tale of woe, coward men hide behind poor girls to accomplish some dirty deed. This book is all about this cruel practice and its grave consequences.
