Seed Treatment ? Dip the seeds in the solution of Hasiru Panchagavya (1 L Panchagavya mixed with 30 ? 35 L water) for 15 minutes and lay the seeds on a plastic sheet for drying. Once the seeds are dried the seeds can be subsequently planted. How to plant ? Plant the treated seeds in a small container filled with Hasiru Potting Mix to about to 1 inch depth and sprinkle water cautiously. Once the seeds germinate and the saplings are about 6 to 8 inch tall, plant the saplings in the desired area. Bitter Gourd is a climbing plant and hence the vine requires adequate support system / Trellis. Germination Time ? 6 to 8 days from Sowing. Spacing ? 1 feet between plants. Watering ? Plants should be watered daily preferably during early mornings which accelerate the process of photosynthesis resulting in faster growth. Manure ? Apply Hasiru Garden Manure / Neem based manure thrice a year. When to plant ? July and August (Also in February, if there is sufficient water). Prevention of Diseases and Pest infestation ?
