This interesting and full-length biography of Mahatma Jotirao Phooley, a great social revolutionary, is presented to scholars, historians and political thinkers who are interested in the social and political revolution in modern India. Mahatma Phooley (1827-1890) revolted against the priestcrall and the caste system and started a social movement for the liberation of the lower classes, the underprivileged, the downtrodden and the Indian woman.
