The work ‘Major Historical Trajectories in The Making of Kerala’ is an edited work on the history of Kerala that makes a humble effort to understand more about those events that played a crucial role in bringing about changes in the course of historical events that took place in Kerala from time to time. Here various aspects and changes are discussed with respect to religious, economic, political and other areas that could make an impact in the society on a wide scale. History of any place is not restricted to one field alone, rather it is a conglomeration of various spheres of social life which progresses through time and space with frequent human interactions. It is this interaction that set the course in motion and any change or specifications in these independent variables creates the necessary changes in the history any place, individual or society as a whole. Each place has a unique nature so it is the case with its history and hence is necessary to understand more about its evolution through appropriate historical studies conducted in the field.
