Manipur University was established in 1980 and ever since it had to deal with a unique set of challenges. The indefinite strike launched by the students, teachers, and staff members of the university from 31 May 2018 and the efforts that were made to restore normalcy provide important lessons for the management of universities. Jarnail Singh was appointed as the Administrator of the university and was given the daunting task of resolving the impasse. The book tells the story of how he rose above the challenges that came his way and restored the university's academic integrity and excellence.
