This device will switch on electrical lights connected with it when natural light gets darker and will switch off the said lights automatically when natural light brightens up. Apart from saving a lot of electric energy, it can also help in preventing thefts to a great extent which are committed due to locked houses that give a deserted look because of darkness at night times. This device can sustain (inrush) light current load up to 400 Watts (Max.) which is approximately 40 watts for LED Lights.IMPORTANT NOTE: Contact current load of 400 watts (Max.) is for normal lights with filaments. In case of LED lights with drivers, calculate Inrush/Startup current (consumed for charging internal capacitor in drivers) which is much more (depending on the manufacturer, model, efficiency and quality of such drivers) than the continuance current rating (watts) mentioned on LED lights. Inrush current load can be found in datasheet of LED Lights. Therefore, please check and calculate current load (for normal lights with filaments : 400 watts and for LED lights : 40 watts (Max.) accordingly before attempting to purchase or install it.
