Antirrhinum or commonly called as 'Snapdragons' are fun annual flower varieties. Each individual flower looks look a mouth and if you squeeze the bottom, you can see the jaws open and close. It is also called as the 'dog flower' for the same quality. Snapdragons grow with brightly colored flowers that bloom best during the cooler parts of spring and fall. Snapdragon flowers start blooming at the bottom of the stalk and work their way up, making for a long period of bloom. They make great cut flowers and good companions to other cool season plants, especially since they can flower in part shade. While the standard snapdragons are tall, bushy plants they are perfect for containers, window boxes, and cascading over walls.
