The Laboratory for Metrology and Measurement is aimed at equipping an Engineering Student with components with which they can measure lengths smaller than an mm and angles smaller than a degree. As in all the Labs the experiments complement the learning experience of the Class-Lecture. The Exercises provide opportunities for direct use of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometers, Bevel Protractor, Sine Bar, and Gear Tooth Caliper. The Laboratory must be used as a chance to enhance ones’ Understanding of the Measuring instruments and in the process must improve his skills at accurately measuring the required quantities.
