The word "Jaat" is a Hindi word that translates to "Jat" in English. The Jat people are a traditionally agricultural community in Northern India and Pakistan. They are believed to have originated from Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The Jats are divided into two large communities of about equal size: The Sikh community, which is concentrated in Punjab The Hindu community The Jats first emerged politically in the 17th century. They had military kingdoms such as Mursan in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatpur in Rajasthan, and Patiala in Punjab.The Jats are from Haryana, UP, and Rajasthan. They speak Haryanvi and are mostly vegetarians. Many of them are land owners and are known as "Zamindars". The followers of Sikhism offer their services in Gurudwaras and provide food to all.
