This novel is based on the reasearch done on the Mughal king Jalaluddin Akbar. He was enthroned at the age of only thirteen. The book also clarifies many myths which are often connected with Akbar, like the fictional character of Anarkali, rebellion of Jahangir (Akbar’s son) against Akbar for Anarkali or Akbar had a coalition of one thousand cheetahs etc. The book has also a description of “Deen-e-Elahi” ,a new religion founded by Akbar. The book contains a detailed description of Akbar, his administration and period.
