The autobiography is about the struggle of a person from the middle class who became an Architect by profession, especially when he started his own practice in ’69 at the age of 31in India. In India the society is notorious for always trying, an individual trying to progress- that too honestly and sincerely on his own- to pull him down. The trials and tribulations through which he was required to go through during his path and the treatment he received from society, as well as Government made him do a lot of souls searching. During the low ebb of his practice, the solace he got from reading, Ayn Rand, especially with the books of Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged made him realize that it is not just India but also all over the World there was a systematic, well-planned philosophy going on to belittle such individuals.
