"The stories of this book, written in the backdrop of both rural and urban settings, are the reflecttions of human mind in this complicated age. As it reveals the increasing complexity of human life with changing era, they also highlight the eternal values of the human mind. They depict feelings and emotions of people including the burning mind with the fire of dissatisfaction at the last stage of life, the old age pull for a childhood friend left behind long ago, the desire of girls to give up their own comforts and ambitions to make husband and family members happy after marriage, the eternal bond of love between husband and wife and the lover's sacrifice for the beloved fighting against social adversaries, the heartbroken cry of mother for her dying son, people’s extending hands of help as a friend to the poor and marginalized in the society, occasional ill treatment of people out of misunderstanding by us, the struggle and dedication of the people on the border for the country, etc. The stories depict variegated colours of human life on the canvas of contemporary age, Most of the stories were published in different leading dailies and magazines and were liked widely.
