This book attempts to investigate whether there had been any significant change in the pattern of cropping, production, yield, farm income, per capital farm income, the level of employment of farm labor and also about the education level of farmer's family, standard of living of farmers family, expenditure on health, education, newspapers, entertainment and festivals etc. overtime due to the adoption of New Agricultural Technology by the farmers. The first part discusses the significance of study, an appraisal of some the past studies on income, employment, social factor and states the major hypotheses which have guided the study are given. After that the research methodology, objectives, hypothesis of the study. the second part provides a brief survey of important characteristics of agricultural in the adoption of new agricultural technology and the impact on cropping pattern, production, yield, farm income and employment. The fourth part gives answer on the results and discussion about social change. The fifth part is devoted for summery of the findings and policy implications. This book is highly useful to the students, teachers, research workers and policy makers connected with agricultural and rural development.Dr. Santosh N. Kadam (b. 1st June 1975) obtained his M.A. and Ph. D. Degree in Economics from Shivaji University, Kolhapur (M.S.) and was also recipient of Departmental Research Fellowship during his Ph. D. work in Shivaji University , Kolhapur.present Dr. Santosh has been working as a lecturer in Economics at S.B.P. College, Mandrup since June 2003, He has also been working as a contributory lecturer at Walchand College, Solapur for post Graduate Classes.Dr. Santosh has published several research papers on Different fields in both National and International Journals. He has participated and presented several papers in National Conferences & Seminars. He is recipient of "Best Research Paper" award twice in Conferences.
