One of the easiest indoor plants to grow, pothos (Epipremnum aureum) also known by other common names like Money plant, Ceylon creeper, taro vine, ivy arum, silver vine, and Solomon Islands ivy. It is one of the easiest houseplant to grow and is a beautiful addition to any home or office. Pothos plants grow well in almost any situation! Nearly foolproof even for beginners, pothos is forgiving of neglect, virtually pest- and disease-free, and is a great low-light indoor plant perfect for darker rooms and offices. Native to Mo'orea, an island in French Polynesia, pothos is a trailing vine with glossy or satiny, heart-shaped leaves. This fast-growing houseplant is perfect for beginners and seasoned indoor gardeners alike. Easy to care for and tolerant of many conditions, it looks beautiful trailing down from a bookcase or desk and can be trained up a trellis or across a wall to make a dramatic impact. Pothos plants like to dry out quite a bit between waterings. Be sure to drench the plant thoroughly each time you water (until water runs out of the drainage holes in the pot) and then let it dry before watering again. Pothos prefers bright indirect light (no direct sun) but will still grow in shadier spots and even under fluorescent lights.
