This book on noble laureates sketches a broad outline of the scientists who have won the noble prizes in physics since l901. It gives a concise information on their works: biographies and portraits. It also covers the early philosophers of physics and their works in brief till the inception of noble prize in physics that highlights the foundation work in physics and brief information about Alfred Nobel and the initiation of Nobel foundation. The book aims to inspire the young minds and also all those who read physics. This is an attempt to enlighten the heritage of physics. The students the teachers and all the readers of scientific community will appreciate the availability of vast information in single volume. About the Author Sathish L. A. is currently Head Department of Physics Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Bangalore. He received his MSc degree In physics and PhD In environmental radiation from University of Mysore. He has carried out his research work at the Department of Studies In Physics Manasagangotri University of Mysore under BRNS Project sponsored by the Department of Atomic Energy Bhabha Atomic Research Center Government of India. He has over nine years of teaching and research experience and has published many research papers In national and International joumals.
