"Not Like Other Girls" follows the story of its protagonist, Christie Devon, a young woman who grows up in relative poverty after the death of her parents. Despite her humble beginnings, Christie is determined to make something of herself and rise above her circumstances.When Christie's aunt, Miss Lavinia Devon, invites her to live with her in London, Christie seizes the opportunity for a better life. However, she soon discovers that Miss Devon has ulterior motives for taking her in and intends to mold her into a proper lady for the sake of an advantageous marriage.Determined to maintain her independence and follow her own path, Christie resists her aunt's attempts to change her.
