Payal Das is a development editor, who has worked with HarperCollins Publishers India and Oxford University Press India. She was born and raised in Kolkata, fed on a daily diet of books, her father's imaginative bedtime stories, her mother's love for literature and poems recited by her grandfather. Her poems cover personal themes of love, loss, anguish and reflection, and have often been a means of catharsis for her. 'Off the Written Track' is her first collection of poetry. She lives with her husband and her feisty tom cat.
