Over the last few years, Open Educational Resources (OER) have emerged as oneof the contemporary prominent knowledge-sharing platforms. New educationalopportunities are arising in a digitally enhanced collaboration amongst learners.This collaboration could be a new platform for older socio-epistemic hierarchiesand marginalisations or create an opportunity to bring down the barriers based onsocio-economic dimensions of learners' accessibility to knowledge. OERrepresents the efforts of a worldwide community, empowered by the internet, tohelp equalize the access to knowledge and educational opportunities. This bookprobes into the interplay of OER in the process of teacher education, identifies thevarious problems encountered and provides some possible solutions. It exploresupon the possibilities of OER as a tool for collaborative learning in teachereducation. This is a field based Participatory Action Research which should interestall who engage with ICT and Education. It will help in exploring upon theeducational possibilities and opportunities of OER for teachers and contribute totheir continued professional development in diverse educational settings.
