The demand for electrical power increases all over the world because of developments in all sectors. Most countries depend on thermal power plants for the generation of required power. Due to the use of high fissile fuels for the generation power per unit generation charges increase and also emitted toxic gases like nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and carbon dioxide which pollutes the environment. So for economic generation of electrical power and reduction of the emission due to nonrenewable energy sources required to operate the electrical power generation system in hybrid mode. When using the hybrid mode of operation it is easy to utilize solar, wind, and other renewable energy sources. So hybrid system can be operated using the grid-connected system or a stand-alone system as per the requirement of the load side demand. The hybrid system is very much useful in rural areas where electrical power is available only for a few hours. This work gives a deep analysis of the hybrid system and used optimization techniques to simulate the generation system and find out the optimum cost of operation of the hybrid plant for the particular load demand. This work simulates various interconnected hybrid systems like 1)PV and diesel systems 2) PV and wind systems, 3)PV, wind, and diesel generator systems, and 4) a combination of wind and generator systems.
