This book is a short introduction, and a list with descriptions of the various species of orchids found in Ceylon, and occasionally of other regions in the east. The orchids are listed alphabetically according to the families that they belong to, as well as sub species in that family. There are 28 coloured and b/w illustrations in this book, which was first published in 1918
