Chopra takes the readers through the intricacies of the digestive process and introduces the Ayurvedic perspective on the same. He writes at length on what to eat to ensure healthy digestion. Known for his alternative take on health, he even explains the connection between emotions and digestion. Cures to common ailments like constipation, diarrhea, and intestinal gas are also suggested. Deepak Chopra is an eminent physicist, speaker, and writer. He has written as many as 65 books on health, wellness, and spirituality, which have sold over 20 million copies worldwide. He studied medicine at AIIMS, New Delhi and taught at Tufts University and Harvard University in his early career. During the 1980s, he became interested in the disciplines of Transcendental Meditation (TM) and Ayurveda. He learnt and propagated them widely. He founded the American Association of Ayurvedic Medicine in 1985 and worked with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s Health Centre for nearly a decade.
