Toxicology is the study of toxicants, but this subject is so vast that it has much to relate. Anattempt has been made to provide a comprehensive and authentic content on the subject in this book. About the Authors Dr. Anju Agarwal is presently working as a Associate Proffessor in the Department of Zoology of S.N. Sen B.V.P.G.College affiliated to CSJM university, Kanpur. She has a long teaching and research experience of 26 years . She has attended several National and International Symposia and presented technical papers. Recently she has been awarded with Fellow of Academy of Environmental Biology (FAEB). Dr Agarwal is the managing Editor of journal of Ecophysiology and Occupational Health and is on the editorial and honorary reviewer broad of many journals. She has visited many countries in academic exchange program. Dr. Krishna Gopal is presently working as Deputy Director and Head, Aqutic Toxicology Division, indian Institute of Toxicology Research (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research ), Lucknow. He did his Ph.D. from Gorakhpur University and his published several research papers in National and International journals of repute. he has participated in a number of seminars and conferences in both India and abroad and has been awarded coveted "Archana Gold Medal" by the Academy of Environmental biology, india for his outstanding contribution in the field of toxicology. Presently Dr Gopal is a member of HIGH Level Technical Committee constituted by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for the drinking water management. Dr. Gopal is vice Chairman of State Environmental Appraisal Committee of U.P. for Environmental clearances of the the projects. Dr. Gopal is Editor-in-chief of journal of Echophysiology & occupational Health and member of editorial boards of various reputed journals.
