The book lays stress on economic aspects of this snail and gives a long list of is host plants. Possibility of utilization of the snail’s flesh as feed and fertilizer and for human consumption has also been discussed. Results of the researches conducted by the author and his co workers for 16 years in the Andamans and Delhi, especially the practical approach for the management of this pest, has been given in detail. In the end, suggestions have been made for future work on the land snail problem by the younger generation.
