Your Lord wants you to fear standing before Him. That doesn't mean you run away from Him. Rather - you will run away from those actions, from those events, from those things and people that take you away from Allah. This fear means that you will embrace those things, those events, those things and persons that bring you closer to your Lord.'Fear to stand before him' - that's the gist of it.
