From the pages of Hubert Selby Jr.’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name comes an epic film dramatization of a modern-day tragedy. Directed by Academy Award-nominee Darren Aronofsky, Requiem for a Dream is a psychological drama film that stars Academy Award-winner Jared Leto of Dallas Buyers Club fame, the ravishing Academy Award-winner Jennifer Connelly (played the supporting role in A Beautiful Mind), Marlon Wayans and Ellen Burstyn. This entrancing flick follows the lives of four individuals from Coney Island, who, due to their drug addictions, dive too deep into their respective fantasy worlds which progressively grow darker and begin to adversely influence their realities.
