The present volume is in commemoration of the memory of one of the outstanding teachers and researchers in Geography. While the volume was being planned, it was thought best to give a free choice to contributors, with the only provision that the articles should have some bearing on new trends in Geography. The volume covers diverse fields namely, Geographical Thought, Environment and Pollution, Aspects of Agricultural Geography, Land Degradation, Regional Development and Planning.
